The Mission
Prix Pictet, world mission relates to the Environment, Social Issues, and Sustainability, through the medium of photography. Organised in 10 rotating cycles, Human, Fire, Hope, Space, Disorder, Consumption, Power, Growth, Earth, Water. Artists are nominated, and invited to submit work, along the lines of one area per submission. It is all about the impact of visually communicating your concepts and ideas


The Prize
The nominators and Judges for the prize, are a group of leading experts in visual arts, from around the world.
Including museum and gallery directors, journalists, and art critics. In a working mode and manner, like members of a highly professional fraternity.
All are engaged with a global search for images with high artistic qualities, and narrative power, to fit the frame of each cycle, for the Prize. Founded in 2008, the selected works of the winners and shortlisted visual artists, tours the world for an extended period.
All over the globe, so far, Prix Pictet have not yet, placed on exhibition in Africa. We are still waiting and wondering why not? Non-profit art businesses, works in their own personal independent missions and projects. They are located on cultural ladders and size of activities.

Unfortunately, non-profit arts organisations rarely sell art. Generally, you can purchase work directly from artists, or an assigned artist representative.

There are non-profit organisations, who can assist you to own visual art. In the mean time, start learning by visiting exhibitions, go to artist and curators’s conversations.
