WEALTH OF NATIONS

With influences and extractions drawn from cultures around the world, Western European Art Traditions in a variety of movements, became the dominant factor in Fine Art Concepts, Aesthetics, and Representation. Establishing over 3 hundred years, the modern structures, frameworks, patterns, and systems of administrations in the world of Fine Arts.

In the 20th century, as the world became more interconnected and interdependent, the old traditional ways, and concepts of depicting the world became redundant. At the end of modernism, with nothing to replace it.  looking at, and making attempts to find a place in the new world on the horizon. Without a unified conceptual narrative, in a culture of chaos and confusion in Western Europe, all things fell apart, imploding into itself.

Fine Art Business & Culture

The fear and crisis, were signs of significant loss in prestige, no more in an elevated place in the world. Post-Modernism as a concept and movement, attempted to address the fallout of 2 World Wars, mass displacements of populations, and much more.

POSTMODERNISM

20th Century Postmodernism are  vast complex areas of philosophical narratives, discourse, critiques, and furious debates, about what should be considered the most vital, and important aspects of society, culture, and life in Western Europe! The deep roots of dialogues and discussions, were centred on maintaining and reasserting the status quo of economic dominance, and political power.

VISUAL ARTS

Postmodern concepts in relation to the Visual Arts, challenged the established distinctions between High & Low Cultures. Blurring the lines and barriers between Fine Art and Commercial Design. From the middle and continuing to the late 20th century, attempts were made to discover different methods of making and representing fine art. Those experiments, exploded into the contemporary modes of creative practices as – World Arts. Moving away from a singular concept, viewpoint, and definition, into multidimensional perspectives.

TRANS-POSTMODERNISM

Jean Michel Basquiat Exhibition

25 years into the 21st century, we are at the beginning of a new era in human evolution. Massive changes are taking place by design, including how we interact with each other.

What are the best habits, and principles that we must adopt and apply, in order to remove the detrimental errors of the past, and subtle human negatives that appears to be little known?

How can we become more effective in what we do, so that the world may become a better place for us all. Are you really working for peace, harmony, and personal growth?

As a practising artist I would question, apart from the big ambitions of acceptance in the worlds of art, fame and celebrity status. Are you aware of the huge responsibilities to society, in relation to creative licence, generating heritage and legacy. What are the real benefits of what yo do as an artist, and for whom?

The new roles in the Art Worlds are Multidimensional, artistic pluralism in the norm, embracing changes not just in the use of materials, styles, and intentions. BLACK BODIES

Categorised as Black in a common identity, artists from an African origin practising in the 21st century, appears to be taking centre stage in the public arts arena.

In the New Global Cultures, creative practices as industries are classified as worlds arts. Kehinde Wiley, Kara Walker, Kerry James Marshall, Mark Bradford and others, are prime examples among the leading groups of contemporary visual artists. Who are seemingly innovating, rejuvenating, refreshing, and continuing with the best traditions of the Fine arts.

Black Bodies located in the African Diaspora, contains unique historical constructs, and socio-political references. This particular Diaspora is a place of unusual hybridity. Every individual artist located there, decide the purpose of their work, whom and what it serves.

Roy Lichtenstein – Masterpiece 1962

If artists are true unique individuals, and what they make, come from somewhere deep inside themselves. Then artists of African Origin, recognising themselves to be from that source. And are now practising and functioning, within the confines of Western European traditions, and Fine Art systems.

From the examples of various practicing artists, the best route appears to be, find and organise a safe place and space, to create and generate all that is true, and real to your experiential living, relevant to the times we are living in.

For me, in the same location, it is most important to remain connected to the laws of nature, in-tuned to my inner consciousness, and spirituality. Reflecting and Relating  to my daily living, within the external societies and cultures. All in order to progress and strive. I believe a practising artist must be free to explore, and create without limitations.

A special message to you the reader, invest in what the best of cultures, and the arts have to offer. Creativity, whether practicing or as a spectator, will improve and elevate the mind, in overall well-being. The best art is able to offer positive experiences, especially in troubled times. The rules of the new One World Order states – the Right of the Individual according to the Laws, Stand Supreme. This question remain unanswered, who are the people making the laws?
