In the attempt to understand the images in this exhibition, several questions were asked. Where were the photographs taken, how were the images made, and why? What about intellectual meaning? These types of questions are not unusual in the pursuit of discovering art, so why are they significant here?
Talking with the artist Danijah, the project started as searching and finding signs, symbols, and signifiers in nature, that represents the connectivity of people, through energy networks, circuits, and lines. The works are beautiful images, relating to the transmittance of energies and frequencies, in the inner and outer worlds of being alive. Connections that are made in, and through the spiritual and psychic worlds.
Curator’s Notes

The duck, clearly show the image is in water. The photographs on show were not manipulated in any way. They are created by nature. Seen, visualised, and composed by the artist. The artist described the works in this way, “the images become whatever you imagine them to be. The whole process from beginning to end is like pure magic.”
A small group of curators and art experts have given their comments. One example of the discussion is this,”the images resemble places where our fears and nightmares are stored, once we are freed of them.” Other descriptions include, invisible spaces, and dramas made visible.

FACE De’ MUSIC
Portraits of JA Music Culture in the UK
“When you hear this music, you feel no pain. So hit me with music, hit me with music, brutalise my soul, Trench Town Rocking!” Bob Marley – King of Reggae Music.
Often, I am questioned about photography at the beginning of my vocation into the Fine Arts, and my career in Visual Communication. I can recall, one outstanding project that continued for over three decades, is the attempts to record and document Jamaican music culture, transported through the mass-migration of people, from the tiny island in the eye of the Caribbean Sea, to assist with the reconstruction of the UK.
This exhibition is a small selection of original Black & White images, that were captured, processed, developed, and printed, utilising the traditional methods and techniques of celluloid films, chemicals, and printed papers in a wet darkroom.
Currently, the selecting, archiving of negatives, and transferring images to digital formats is a major time-consuming task. I make attempts when I get the time, but this is one area of my work in which I need a lot of assistance and support, to complete this important work. That task is on the back-burner, without urgency.
I hope the bulk of past photographic works that remain, will come to light and be seen by the public soon. However, please give your feedback to what is viewed here on the contact sheets. Whether appraising or critical, it is always enlightening and appreciated. With thanks and best wishes, Danijah.

“What A Wonderful World” Louis ‘Satchmo’ Armstrong’s majestic, gigantic contributions as the Musical Ambassador for the greatest music heritage and legacies in the 20th century, is still not yet fully recognised by all concerned.
THE BLACK HOLOCAUST
Images From an Internal Psychic and Spiritual Landscape.
This original multi-faceted body of abstract photographic works are compelling, sensational, and disturbing. A feast for eyes and senses, the explosive drama as the title of the show suggest, is there for all to see. But where to start and how, is where the real test of courage and faith begins with the viewers.
The story of the holocaust unfolds in several areas, not organised in any specific order: Place of Origin – Captured, Chained & Routed Out – The Middle Passage – End of Empire, The Aftermath. Only the viewers can determine the meaning of what they are seeing and feeling. Look and understand according to your own perceptions.
A terrifying subject with tragic stories and subtle emotional tales. The artist speaks about the beauty and drama of mass -destruction. I suspect, he is talking about the making of the photographic essays. I am wondering how the viewers will cope, with what is found, and realised through the mysterious abstract images. Much is communicated within each image, and the broad total exposure to this captivating body of work, so far, is still unfolding.
Curator’s Response.

Example of Past Show & Tell.
“While they dined and romanced, she did not play piano, sing and dance only for money. There were more profound agendas in progress. We love and adore Nina Simone. Simply, because she loves and cares for us all, deeply!”
My Shadow & Me
The shadow represents one half of the duality in all human beings. It is a mirror image or alter-ego, that remains hidden in the unconscious. Aspects of our personality that are unacceptable and usually hidden, takes on a life of its own in the invisible world of shadows and darkness.
A reminder of what is lacking, doubts, past failures, fear, and humiliations, my shadow tries to erase the beast in me. Given half the chance, it will be self-destructive, taking me into the hells of extreme negativity, and deep darkness. When I began to accept and reconcile the duality of good and evil in my nature, with a sense of clarity, I started to recognise and regain my true personality, character, and original real humanity.
The photographic images on show are a small random selection of progress along the journey of true self-recognition. This project now completed, the final works have developed a persona, and life of its own. In relation to the intriguing subject matter of the title.
All feedback on the show is appreciated.

TREE OF LIFE
Beyond personal taste, Art begins with an idea, a concept, including a productive creative process. The power of the finished object or image communicates, it should appeal to our sensibilities, contain a personal story, and generate emotional connections with the viewer.
There are no doubts about the facts, trees supports human life. What might not be so well known, is the varieties of roles in which they assist our daily living. With exciting images, the exhibition on view is a celebration of trees, and the observations of their uniques characteristics.
